Re: Mike Perras
I know I would have published this news earlier it happened a few weeks ago already I am sorry I was in shock. Mike Perras MGR has died of cancer a few weeks ago I got this e-mail from his friend Bill Hayes who also worked at CFOM 1340 AM :
Mike Perras
De : | Bill Hayes | A : | Autre... | |
Guylaine,
I’m pretty sure you’ve heard, but I wanted to let you know of the passing of Mike Perras a couple of weeks ago. Mike died of cancer. He’ll be sorely missed
Hayes
*********************************************************************************************************************
For those who were too young to follow radio just remind you that Mike Perras used the name MARK JAMES when he worked at CFOM because it was an un-written law who said not to work at 2 places with the same name for the fidelity of your first owner.
Bob Dawson hired Mike Perras at the summer of 1972 he called him LA GRANDE VOIX DE CFOM when I met him in december 6th in 1985 not a long time after the CFOM Reunion Week-End thatr I have been the true investigator of.
Mike Perras had the letters MGR after his name because he studied at a superior level to become MANAGER .
The Mike Perras's faourite song of all time Day After Day from 1972 from Badfingers that he played on the CFOM Reunion Week-End.
Mike took care of Cancer Society long time before he contracted the desease and he received many rewards for his good actions.
As a true fan of CFOM and in memory of Mike this is the song Day After Day ...
To the family my most sincere condoleances Mike brought joy into our life like you could never imagine I hope: with this to be a speck of sand to take upon my shoulders 1 % of your sadness . If I do I will say to myself mission accomplished...
God bless you all and rest in peace Mike Perras.
We will never forget you....................................................
